Chatsworth at Christmas

Another trip to Chatsworth although we did manage to venture to Bakewell for the Market. A trip to the Homity Pie was first on the list, but all manner of other food, including Ostrich and Zebra burgers! You would think you were in Nairobi by some of the sights. As we left Poynton we bumped into two neighbours at the end of the street who were just getting their motorhome off the drive – it turned out that we were going to the same place. We met up with ‘the gang’ and took in a great meal at the Marstons pub just up the road from the site entrance (I will find the name later and edit it into this). A few drinks and great meals for £30 a couple following a 10 percent discount for CC members can’t be sniffed at. Back to the motorhomes for a few more amber nectars made for a good evening. I have thoroughly washed and cleaned the motorhome for now as I cant see it getting a run out between now and New Year, but its ready to go if we do dart off.
